Can you believe these guys ramping up to use Reconciliation to pass the Senate bill? Oh my… You know – when Brown ganked Massachusetts, the evil partisan strategic side of me was like – Oh sweet destiny. Let them come. Oh – let them come. Draw them into the teeth of our forces. Harden their hearts and confuse their minds. Oh – let them use Reconciliation. Oh sweet arrogance – let them use Reconciliation.

Fairness
Let’s start with the semantics – my favorite part of politics [ facetiousness detected ]. We are talking about the FairTax Act. If we judge this Act by the standards held by recent legislation – like the American Clean Energy and Security Act, America’s Affordable Health Choices Act, and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – I have to assume that the FairTax Act taxes people unfairly and is not specific to America. Isn’t this an example, assuming it were passed, of further expansion, since no other law goes so far? Income tax is a special case, but besides the Selective Service I can’t think of anything else that so directly affects people regardless of what they do. Read more... The House passed it, and by only 5 votes. One Republican YEA. 39 Democrat NAY. You know that’s a piece of garbage that will see trouble in the Senate. LOL
