The stimulus hasn’t done what congress sold it’s self it would do. In fact, the economy is worse than what they claimed it would be if we DIDN”T pass the damn thing. Well gee, you mean “Liberal goodies didn’t stimulate our economy? Well shit! And Obama said any spending is stimulus. LOL
I think it’s obvious why the package isn’t doing crap. For one, only a fraction has actually been spent. For two, most of that is getting spent contrary to the initial philosophy, like on filling in state budget holes. Good grief. For three, THIS WASN’T A FUCKING STIMULUS BILL. For four, the small parts of the bill that were actual stimulus were small and for “shovel ready” infrastructure. For five, the only jobs it seems to have saved/created were gov’t jobs. And there’s about 900 other reasons.
Regardless, any actual progress the bill could have made was countered by the emotional damage Obama caused passing it – not to mention the emotional damage this cap and trade BS, and like thinking, is causing. Take about terrorism. A campaign of terror against small business.
