Left, Right, and Crazy

August 16, 2009 by Noisy Dove

left, right, and crazyHealth care reform is an easy thing to talk about on the campaign trail. But I think when all these congressmen start really looking at the complexities and size of things – they’ll start to get cold feet, especially with the political weather that has kicked up. In the case of broad sweeping naïve Change® I’m sort of glad. We need some reform in the way we pay for health care though, that’s for sure. The insurance model doesn’t fit, people get screwed, and so on.

As much as our conservative buddies hate it, this reform needs to include undocumented immigrants. Just like irresponsible people, people too poor but too rich, and people with preexisting or chronic illness – society ends up paying ER prices anyway. There is also the loss in productivity.

I don’t see how real reform will happen though. The left has unrealistic ideas bolstered by rosy assumptions. Republicans are scared to death of voting for anything that could possibly be labeled Socialist (gee I wonder why). Democrats wouldn’t vote for any of theleft, right, and crazy Rep’s reform ideas, if only for the reason of kicking Bush in the balls. This whole debate is a prime example of the BS in democracy. To bad there aren’t any better systems.

I’m listening to Obama on the radio. He was sincerely defending the accusation about death boards. lol, if Noisy Dove was managing the administration, I wouldn’t let the president do silly crap like that. It’s sloppy pool. You always have to remember to treat insane accusations as insane accusations. Ever argue something insane with an insane person? Yeah, it validates their idea and works them up even more. I swear, I think crazy people just get ideas out of the air, and sometimes share them, uncommitted. But as soon as someone starts arguing – the crazy person’s rational side thinks, “hey, if they’re arguing it my idea must be valid.”
